Rich,

I like the post. #140TC in Seattle was a great experience. I appreciated the opportunity we had to talk in Seattle. I'm looking forward to getting better aquainted with you and many other new friends from Seattle. It is exciting to think of the opportunities at hand and the knowledge to be gained. Thanks again.

Wow what a great post. This article helps me realize the essence of being a good leader. A good leader must know the flow of his/her business, must pay attention to the concerns of their client and workers and best of all, a good leader must know the power of decision making capability.

I guess there's also an increasing amount of peer pressure to join new services or share more information.

You'd almost wonder what happened to asking oneself the question "would I want mom to know?" or "is this something Tiger would feel the need to apologize for?", heh.

@Ken - I think a personal editorial calendar is key. It's important too, to also do what you are doing with your calendar and making sure to add a free form portion of the week or a day. If you don't exercise the focused AND the abstract....achieving some kind variety of approach......balance, you will not have. (insert horribly done Yoda voice here)

You're so right and I was thinking of this recently as well. Social media has increased the fluidity and decreased the value of relationships (online). It's almost like a "set-it-and-forget-it" mentality, like "yea, become a fan" or "yea, let's be friends".

The new privacy settings don't help much either. People who want to look cooler can just make it so with a click on a few buttons and without ever being self-reflective about it.

Thanks for being and staying conscious of the issue :)

Great stuff, Rich!

For keeping up with posting, it can also help to keep a schedule. I do that for a series on Fundamentals and I try to dedicate at least one post a week for that. The other days, I keep free-form to react or look towards new things (like recently iPad, Google Buzz, etc.)

And re point 2 (which is a terrific reminder!), Brian Clark (from Copyblogger) released Scribe this week. It's a SEO/copywriting service that helps identify keywords and provides tips on optimizing your title, description and body text. You can test-drive it for free and there's a special offer for it this week.
I'm playing around with it now and have already improved my upcoming post and two of my pages with it :)

Great article! We've all been in this situation before! It's one of those things that gets away from the top-of-mind in no time at all. Thanks for good reminders!
